A brand new event: Holiday by the Bay!

Rates*:  $8.00/pp (Kids 5 & under: FREE) *with donation of a non-perishable item for our local food banks

Fireworks on Friday and Saturday (2nd weekend)

Advance reservations are required to attend this event. Call 705-526-7838 to reserve your admission timeslot. The reservation line is open Monday to Friday 10am - 3pm.

Proof of vaccination: 

Proof of vaccination is required to attend this event. All visitors 12 & over will be required to show proof of vaccination and valid ID.

Q - What is "Holiday by the Bay"?
Join us for a brand-new event: Holiday by the Bay located at beautiful Discovery Harbour on the shores of Georgian Bay featuring an outdoor holiday light display and a Christmas vendor market. Visitors will be delighted by outdoor interactive light displays, seasonal decorations, live musical entertainment and a large Christmas tree all located at Discovery Harbour's south visitor area. The event will feature a historic outdoor forge demonstration and live firework displays on Saturday nights. Visitors are invited to wander into the traditional buildings of Navy Hall, Charthouse and the lobby of the King’s Wharf Theater where they will find 15+ local artisans & vendors showcasing a variety of seasonal products for sale.

Do you require proof of vaccination to attend the event?
Yes - proof of vaccination is required to access this event, including dining at Captain Roberts’ Table.

Are you collecting food donations?
Yes the Society of St Vincent de Paul will be collecting non-perishable food items every night. Your donation is appreciated.

Are dogs allowed on site?
Only service dogs are allowed on site during Holiday by the Bay.

How early can I arrive before my allotted timed booking?
Bookings are taken in half hour increments. It is recommended to arrive 10-15 min prior to your booking time, or anytime during your allotted booking. If you are late, there is a chance entry may be denied based on occupancy restrictions related to COVID-19.

Do you require masks worn outdoors?
Yes, masks are required at all times while visiting our historic sites.

Can I pre-pay for my tickets?
You must reserve a time slot in advance by calling 705-526-7838, Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 3 pm. Once you arrive at our admissions entrance, you will then be required to purchase your pre-booked tickets before entering the event. We accept VISA, Mastercard, debit and cash. Non-cash payments preferred.

What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking please call 705-526-7838. If leaving a message, please ensure to include your name, time and date of booking.

Do you have food & retail services on site?
There will be a small snack bar open/gift shop inside King's Wharf Theatre during Holiday by the Bay, as well as baked goods sold by local vendors. Captain Roberts' Table will be closed for indoor dining but will have an outdoor BBQ and hot beverages available. 

Is there a Craft Vendor Market at Holiday by the Bay?
Yes! Throughout the event, local artisans and vendors will be located inside Charthouse, Navy Hall and  the lobby of King's Wharf Theater offering guests handmade crafted items. Admission to Holiday by the Bay is required to visit the artisans at the event.  

Is cash required to visit the vendors?
Some of the vendors will not have the ability to accept credit or debit card payments and will only accept cash payments. There is no ATM onsite. Please plan accordingly.

Is there parking onsite?
Due to reduced capacity for this event, parking will be available on site throughout the evening. We will not be running shuttle buses.

● Face covering or masks are mandatory for staff and guests 2 years old and over (inside and outside).
● All guests must follow physical distancing rules as mandated by the Ontario Government and staff will monitor and remind guests as necessary.
● Signage on site will communicate best practices and protocols, so guests understand expected health and safety requirements.
● Programming has been modified to provide a touchless experience as much as possible. Where this is unavoidable, hand washing, or sanitizing stations are available.
● Enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices are in place throughout the site.
● Guests will be required to self-assess their health and should not visit Discovery Harbour if there is a possibility that they may have contracted or have come into close contact with Covid-19.
● Contact tracing information will be required for all visitors entering the event.
● Advance reservations are required to enter the event

Please note that this event adheres to Covid-19 safety protocols and guidelines from the Simcoe Muskoka district Health Unit.
